Pet Care Services: Terms & Conditions​
Please read through the following information thoroughly.
Booking Delays
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will do everything reasonably within their power to attend your booking on time, however, there may be circumstances outside of their control such as, but not limited to, accidents or traffic congestion.
In the event that The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services is going to be significantly delayed in attending your booking, you will be notified as soon as possible and kept up to date as to any developments that might lead to extended delays or unintended cancellation.
Covid & Sickness Policy
In the event that a customer, or someone in their household, tests postive for Covid-19, or other highly infectious condition, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will not attend the property until the household has tested negative or is clear of illness. Slots will still be charged at full rate to retain the service.
If The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services is unable to attend a booking due to testing positive for Covid-19, or other highly infectious condition, the customer will not be charged.
Cancellation Policy
If permanent slots are booked each week continuously, you will be paying for those slots whether they are used or not. Any cancellations will be at your discretion and may still be chargeable.
Less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation by the customer will be charged at full rate.
Infrequent slots still require a minimum notice of 48 hours for cancellation, any less than this will still result in the customer being charged at full rate.
Cancellations made by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will not be charged.
Retention Policy
For weekly permenant dog walking/pet pop-in customers, up to 20 booking slots (pro-rata - depending on number of permenant booking slots) can be canceled for holidays per year, anything over this will be charged at a full rate as a service retention charge.
We do not offer term time only slots.
Weather
Mild or heavy weather conditions will not be accepted as appropriate reason for cancellation by dog walking clients. The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will attend and carry out all bookings unless it is truly unsafe to do so.
Cancellations with less than 48 hour notice by clients due to mild or heavy weather conditions will still be charged at full rate.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will still make every effort to attend bookings during extreame weather conditions. Depending on the conditions, services may need to be adjusted to ensure animal welfare. Clients will be consulted on any necessary changes when weather predictions are poor, but flying adjustments may be required at the time in which services are provided. Such changes to services will be carried out at the discretion of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to ensure pet welfare.
Heat
When the weather is hot and it's evident that dogs will struggle going for a walk; walks will be shortened and/or replaced by pop-in services accordingly. The visit will still be the booked duration but walks may be shortened or replaced to enable The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to cool the dogs down / keep dogs safe and make sure they are comfortable before leaving.
Rain and wind
Walks will be carried out as usual unless the weather is extreame, or is unsuitable for the individual dogs needs, in this case, Owners will be informed that walks may have to be shortened and/or replaced by pop-in services accordinatly.
Freezing, ice, and snow
If the weather is below freezing and paths are icy, walks may be canceled due to safety issues. Where it is safe to drive, walks may be replaced with a pop-in service but this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Days Off
Wherever possible, 7 days' notice will be given for any days off required by the pet carer in which they will be absent from providing your pet services. Due to accident/ injury or illness, advance notice may not be able to be provided but we will do our best to do so.
Payment
Invoices will be provided weekly, monthly or as required, depending on client preference and services provided. Invoices will include all booked services for that week, month or set time period.

Payment is to be made for the full week, or month, or time period service depending on the pre-arranged invoice schedule.

Payment can be made via BACS or direct debit to the bank account listed on the invoice, using the provided reference.

Payment for all bookings should be made no later than the day before services are due to commence.

If payment is not recieved by end of day on the second day, from the start of the provision of services, the services will be ceased until payment is recieved.
In the event of repeat late payments, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to terminate this agreement.
Leads, Collars & Harnesses
Suitable walking equipement must be provided. If your dog pulls excessively, please provide a collar, lead and/or harness to cater to this. If equipment provided is not securely fitted for the dog, it will be adjusted to ensure their safety on the walk. If suitable equipment is not provided, appropriate equipment owned by the dog walker will be used.
If you do not wish this to happen please inform the dog walker.
All dogs MUST have an appropriate ID tag on their collar to be compliant with the law. Failure to provide this will prevent the dog from being walked. In the event that this happens, the booking will be treated as a ‘Pop-In’ service but charged as a walk.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services do not condone the use of adversive/negative or punishment based training techniques or tools. We will not walk dogs on slip, prong and/or e-collars.

Other Equipment & Resources
Any care provided to your pet, regardless of species, will be carried out using the clients equipment and resources e.g. cleaning products, bedding, food etc.
The one exception to this is enrichment activities/equipment which The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services can provide if requested. Pets will not be left unattended with enrichment that could pose a risk if unsupervised. Enrichment will not be left at the property, and will remain in The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services ownership.
Suitable equipement and sufficient resources must be made available for your pets needs for the duration of the services provided by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services. For instance, if providing pet care for rabbits for 2 weeks while the client is on holiday, it is the clients responsibility to ensure there is enough food, hay and bedding material available for the full 2 weeks.
Any food and/or resources that are to be provided to the pet(s) must be within it’s use by date.
If food and/or resources are considered to be unsafe, contaminated or a risk to the pet(s), they will not be used. If alternatives are not available, or in the event that insuffient equipment or resources are available, the client understands and agrees to reinburse The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services for purchases made to support the clients pet(s). Recipts will be provided.
If a client repeatedly fails to have sufficient items available for The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to carry out their duties, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to terminate this agreement.
Group Dog Walking
Dogs will only be allowed to attend group walks after a period of solo walking, with The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, to asertain their temperment and suitability for walking with other dogs.
This time period will be agreed upon at client onboarding, but does not gauruntee that at the end of this period that they will allowed to join the group walks. The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to extend this period or decline a dogs group walk suitability.
Reasons for extention or decline include but are not limited to:

Poor socialability

Poor greeting / lead manners with unfamiliar dogs

Over excitment or bullying behaviour toward unfamiliar dogs

Known aggression or bite history
If a dog is decline group walk suitability, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will still provide solo walking upon agreement with the client.
Off Lead Walking
Walking dogs on lead is the safest way to exercise them, and it is The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services default method of walking client dogs. If you would like your dog to be walked off lead, an Off Lead Dog Walking Consent Form must be filled in and signed.
The Zoomie Zone will not let your dog off their lead on a walk unless written consent is recieved.
With consent, your dog will only be let off their lead:

They are medically sound todo

They are medically sound to do so
-
In areas deemed safe or low-risk
-
After sufficient evidence of reliable recall is witnessed on a long-line​
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services takes the safety of dogs during off-lead walking very seriously. At any point the dogs behaviour demonstrates that they cannot be reliably recalled, or shows signs of poor socialbility and/or aggression towards any other animal or human, they will not be allowed off lead.
Pet Pop-Ins & Sitting
During Pet-Pop Ins and Pet Sitting, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will care for your pets as if they were their own. If you or your pet has any specific requirements that need to occur during this service, such as food or medication, please specify these on your New Client Form. If these requirements change, please notify The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services as soon as possible.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will encourage dogs to toilet during pop-in slots but is not responsible for any accidents indoors when they are left home unattended.
Removal of animal waste (in garden or litter tray) will be carried out as standard.

The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will carry out any cleaning of animal accomodation, food and water bowls etc as instructed by the client. Please make sure that if you have any specific requirements or processes to state these clearly on your New Client Forms and discuss them during the in-person consultation.

Any loss or damage caused by pets while unattended in the home is not the responsibility of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services. Any damage found will be reported to the client, and steps taken to ensure the pets safety as necessary. If pets are known to be destructive, it is the clients responsibility to remove anything that might be targetted from the pets reach prior to services commencing.
Food
If your pet requires feeding by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, sufficient quantities should always be available for the duration of the agreement.
Clear instructions should be given to The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, as any meals will only be provided to the pet as per these instructions.
Treats may be provided during walks, enrichment or training by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, but only if expressed consent by the owner for these to be given.

Medication
If your pet requires medication administration by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, sufficient quantities of medication should always be available for the duration of this agreement.
The owner is to provide the medication which must include:
The original container from the Vet with written prescription and instructions clearly on the label.
The label must have a description of the medication, frequency of medication, to take with or without
food, expiry date, and name of the dog.
Medication must be in date and not expired.
Medication will only be supplied to the pet it is prescribed for.
Medication will only be administered if a Medication Consent Form has been filled in and signed by the owner.
In the event that there is insufficient medication available, the client will be notified. It is not the responsibility of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to order or collect more.
Veterinary Care
While pets are in the care of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, should injury or illness occur, first aid will be provided but seeking veterinary care outside of an emergency is the clients responsibility. If the client wishes for The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to act on their behalf, during the course of their contract, in securing veterinary treatment/emergency treatment, they must sign a Veterinary Release Form. for The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services. Every effort will be made to contact the owner before obtaining any veterinary or emergency veterinary care. In signing a Veterinary Release Form, the client authorises The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to make decisions on the veterinary treatment of the pet on their behalf (with the exception of euthanasia or life limiting/altering surgery) IF the client or their emergency contact cannot be contacted. It is the clients responsibility to pay for any charges related to any veterinary care the pet recieves.
Additionally, it is the clients understanding that The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services may need to use an alternative veterinarian in the event the pets regular veterinarian is unavailable.
Clients will agree to compensate The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services for any additional fees in providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.
Injury To Persons And/Or Other Animals
Clients must honestly and fully disclose whether a pet is, or has shown, aggression or defensive behaviour that will alter or impede The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services ability to perform their services. The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will do what they can to facilitate animals with complex behaviours, which will be discussed with the client at the start of the contract. The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to withdraw their services if a pets behaviour imperils their safety, or that of others.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will do everything in their power to ensure the safety of the pet, other people and animals, based on the information provided and through their observation of their behaviour. However, it is the clients responsibilty to reinburse The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services for any medical expenses, loss of earnings and damages resulting from an injury to The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services staff, any other persons or animal, by the pet. Clients must agree to hold The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services harnless in the event of a claim by any person or animal injured by the pet.
Any loss or damage caused by pets while unattended in the home is not the responsibility of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services is not liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
Grooming
Dogs will be towel dried and paws wiped, as required, on return to their home after a walk. Any additional grooming services must be quoted and booked in advance, and are subject to availability.
Grooming, including nail clipping, will only be carried out on animals who are in good health or who would otherwise not suffer pain from recieving grooming treatments.
Species-specific grooming products will be used, but The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions. Patch tests can be carried out, and are advisable for animals with known sensitivities.
Dogs may be muzzled, and cats put in mittens/lampshades, for safety reasons if they give indication that they may become aggressive during grooming (including nail trimming).
Grooming will be carried out to the animals comfort levels. If any form of grooming (including nail trimming) causes unnecessary levels of distress, and all attempts to continue are unsuccessful for the animals welfare, The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to cease the service. The service fee will still be charged.
If an animal is known to find grooming, including nail trimming, to be distressing, multiple visits may be necessary to build confidence and complete the service. This will incur additional charges.
If any animal requires medication in order to be groomed, this should be provided in advance of The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services arrival in line with the prescription.
Microchipping
Prior to microchip implantation, all animals will recieve a general wellness check and their recent health history reviewed.
If an animal has shown signs of recent illness, is currently displaying symptoms of illness or has been vaccinated or recieved spot on parasite treatment within 7 days of the implantation appointment, implantation will be postponed.
All neccessary measures will be taken to ensure a successful implantation, and prevent complications, however The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services can not be held responsible for adverse reactions. Clients will be advised how to care for the implantation site after microchipping is carried out, and it is the clients responsibility to ensure their pets health and wellbeing in line with these instructions.
Property Access
It is the responsibility of the client to provide keys/alarm code etc, or arrange for access to be made available to the property, for The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services to carry out their work. With this understandnig, in the event that access to the property cannot be achieved, despite all attempts at the time of service, the client will still need to pay the full booking charge.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services accepts no responsibility for the security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of service. During all assignments, all services will only be carried out by The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services owner or employees, unless prearranged with the client.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services accepts no responsibility for damages to the property if other people have access to the property.
Complaints & Concerns
If a client has any concerns or complaints, they must notify The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services within 24 hours of any appointments.
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services will provide the services requested in a reliable, kind, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services, its employees, or assignments, except those occurring from proven negligence.
Termination Of Services
The Zoomie Zone: Pet Care Services reserves the right to terminate contracted services to a cliet at any time, at its sole discretion and that the client may also terminate at any time, with one month's notice.
