Cleo The Caterpillar: An Unwritten Rule
We all know that greyhounds are a quirky breed, they're weird and fun, and they like to collect shoes and hoard things in their beds...but one phenomenon that no one has been able to explain is their unrivalled attraction to the 6ft long fluffy rainbow childrens toy!
We all know that greyhounds are a quirky breed, they’re weird and fun, and they like to collect shoes and hoard things in their beds…but one phenomenon that no one has been able to explain is their unrivalled attraction to 6ft long fluffy rainbow children’s toys known as ‘Cleo The Caterpillar.’
When taking home your newly adopted greyhound, it isn’t uncommon that they don’t want to play with toys straight away! For some it can take a really long time to do so, it may be days or weeks! Though it doesn’t apply to Cleos. They carry them around, wrap themselves up in them, use them as pillows and ultimately use them as a comfort blanket!
Look at any online greyhound community board, page, social media…you’ll see a Cleo! Lots of them!
Don’t ask us to explain it, we don’t know why, but they’re obsessed with these (emotional support) caterpillars and it’s just too adorable for words!
They are so at ease with them, even though they have never seen them before retirement, and are ever so funny when they are dragging them around the house with them.
If you are going to get a greyhound, you will need to be prepared to adopt a giant rainbow tripping hazard as well!
Don’t worry, it will only set you back £20 and you can get them from Smyths…and no this isn’t an ad or a paid endorsement, we just know greyhounds love a Cleo!
If you haven’t already, it may be time to treat that beautiful hound of yours to a Cleo!
